A Day In Maui | VLOG

Family is truly a unique gift that needs to be appreciated and treasured. Every year on my Mother’s Birthday we travel somewhere in the world to celebrate this notion of family. This year, we chose the Island of Maui!

Hawaii in general has always held special energy in my family. Both of my parents have family on the islands. My dad’s family is of Hawaiian heritage and aspects of the culture still resonate with us on the mainland. Our trip their reminded me of fun childhood moments of my grandmother speaking Pigeon, picking ginger in the yard, and eating spam and ramen. Yummy!

I had not been back to the Island of Maui since I was a child, so we decided to take a day exploring the island. I took some videos of the sites along the way. We even took a helicopter ride around the island. It was fantastic! Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get a fresh perspective of any city.
